Bad Samba is a new cultural export concept aimed at identifying and increasing the demand for Finnish music in Latin American countries. After a year of maturation, the focus is on heavy rock, a genre that Finnish bands and their backers have been doing a good job in various countries in the region for almost twenty years.

Bad Samba visited the target area in November this year and the reception was very good everywhere. The twenty pre-arranged meetings in Brazil and Chile included record labels, promoters, digital and traditional music distributors and, among others, Chile’s biggest rock-based radio station Radio Futuro. The visit also resulted in concrete things and a tour for the concept’s domestic pilot The 69 Eyes is currently being negotiated for spring 2018. In the future, Bad Samba will offer its services to Finnish artists, songwriters, managers and record labels.
